At first, I thought, "This guy is creative." It's like the first homeless guy with a sign that read, "Money for alcohol." It was new and caught you off guard. It almost made you want to give him money.
Then I thought, "Wait a sec, aren't all people online without homes?" In other words, most people in the world do not have an account at secondlife.com. Most of us do not have homes on the internet, therefore, we are just as homeless as this dude.
This is the point at which you counter in your mind, "But Rusty, this isn't about online homelessness. It's about helping a guy out through a new avenue. I can help him from a distance and send him money without needing to be next to him." Yes, but let me ask you this, remote philanthropist. Did you realize that this guy needs a bank account to transfer his paypal money into? Also, if this guy orders anything online, he would need an address to mail his non-essential purchased items?
This means that he has enough money to open and maintain a bank account in good standing and may, unverifiable I realize, have an address to live at. Hmmmm, food for thought. Or maybe, I'll just not think about that and praise him for his 2.0 upgrade. Either way, I provoked your brain. YES! GO TEAM PANG!
